KTSF is seeking a part-time Accounting Assistant who can provide accounting processing support in the Accounting Department. This includes but is not limited to developing spreadsheets, databases and maintain back up documentation for accounts payables, receivables, fixed assets and payroll for the station.  Process payroll, invoices and contractual agreements in a prompt and professional manner. Maintain accurate and timely records on status of client payments with objective of reducing number of aging accounts.

電視廣播實習生  KTSF Broadcasting Internships

The KTSF TV 26  Internship Program has on-site internship opportunities available year-round to currently enrolled college students pursuing careers in Television/Digital Production, Broadcast Journalism, Communications and other related fields. KTSF internships are unpaid and require that you enroll in a college internship program for credit.  A daily travel stipend is allowed.

The internship program at KTSF TV 26 is designed to provide students with an onsite educational experience that complements their academic studies. KTSF television is the largest Asian television station in the U.S.

Current  Available Internships:

News:  Will assist the assignment editor in researching news ideas, filming in the field, archiving news footage, writing news stories and editing news video. Reports to: Director of Engineering (DoE)

Position is: Non-Supervisory, Part-time or Full-time, On-site

Position Summary: The IT Network Technician (INT) is responsible to keep the computer network functioning as it should be, under the guidance of the DoE. All IP subnets need to be properly configured with zero conflicts and updated documentation. All new equipment need to be installed and properly connected to the computer network. All activities are done with network security in mind. As the local computer network interacts with the outside world, all telecommunications systems also fall under the care of the INT.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Responsible to regularly update and keep track of all documentation involving the computer network (all subnets), VPN lists with users/password credentials and telecommunications connections of KTSF.
  2. Responsible to properly install/configure/maintain all firewalls/routers/computers/servers owned by KTSF as directed by the DoE.
  3. Troubleshoots/Repairs issues/concerns within the computer network using tools and equipment.
  4. Builds/repairs computers/servers and other data processing equipment as needed/directed.
  5. Tests/troubleshoots/installs telecommunication equipment like IP phones, terminal equipment, etc.
  6. Monitors the health of the IT network and recommends/implements improvements as needed.
  7. Be familiar with all broadcast workflows and analyze/solve issues with data/file transfers.
  8. Other tasks as required in a team effort.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Educational background in Electronics/IT Network from Community College or military experience.
  2. Good verbal and written skills. Able to read diagrams and document using Visio and other tools.
  3. Can work with hand tools to make cables/connectors and test equipment for troubleshooting.
  4. Requires minimum supervision with initiative and “can do” attitude.
  5. Interpersonal skills to work well within a team environment.
  6. Good aptitude to continue learning as broadcast technology progressively evolves.
  7. Preferably with certifications like CCNE, CompTIA Network+ and others.

KTSF is seeking a Cantonese-speaking Weekend News Writer for its live Cantonese-language weekend newscasts. The person needs to write and edit news for broadcast, on-line and social media. This job requires a minimum of one year of translation work, writing, in journalism or equivalent is required. Ability to speak/write and have excellent command of Cantonese and English is required.

This position requires an individual who possesses strong leadership skills, can direct a local sales team to maximize core business, develop new business while motivating a veteran staff, and exploit Bay Area and California political spending that continues to expand.

A strong understanding of inventory control and pricing, good organizational skills and business sense, great interpersonal skills coupled with strong leadership qualities are essential.  A solid understanding of consumer research and Nielsen is also necessary.

3-5 years’ experience in broadcast sales management
Hands on broadcast advertising sales and operational background
Ability to grow revenue through digital interactive and other approaches
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and WideOrbit software
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record

KTSF is seeking a Mandarin-speaking News Reporter and Writer for its live Mandarin-language newscasts. Hybrid work schedule. The person needs to shoot, produce, write and edit news for broadcast, on-line and social media.  This job may include anchoring live news broadcasts. B.A. degree or higher in related field is required.  A minimum of one year of translation work, writing, reporting in broadcast news or equivalent.   Must speak/write and have excellent command of Mandarin and English is required.   Valid CA driver’s license and insurance.
