多間高科技公司宣佈在灣區裁員，受影響的員工超過400人。
根據多間科技公司向加州就業發展局提交的申請，灣區將裁減約419人，網上教育平台Chegg宣佈，Santa Clara辦公室裁員88人，慧與科技公司（Hewlett Packard Enterprise）在聖荷西的辦公室裁減61人，以及本台日前報導過，LinkedIn分別在Mountain View、Sunnyvale和舊金山（三藩市）辦公室裁減共270人。
所有裁員已經在5月初至5月中生效。
