位於三藩市的華埠公共衛生局 ( 前第四衛生局 ) 將於今個星期六 1/7/2017 及1/21/2017 (星期六) 舉辦”加州兒童護理班 ” 課程。這課程符合加州政府托兒牌照局規格,專為在家中作托兒工作者而設。加州政府規定所有家庭托兒工作者必須接受最少十六小時的兒童護理訓練。

在過去多年中,華埠公共衛生局一直為三藩市及灣區的家庭托兒工作者提供中文教授的 “加州兒童護理 ” 課程。用國 / 粵語教授的課程,將於將於2017年1月7日及1月21日 (星期六) ,上午8時至下午5時,假華埠公共衛生局舉行。課程需預先報名,收費為一百八十元,考試合格者,將獲得美國紅十字會証書三份。

“加州兒童護理 ” 課程內容包括嬰兒及兒童心肺復甦法,兒童護理急救技巧,預防性健康與安全,傳染病的預防,患病兒童的照料及如何預防兒童損傷等等。

DANCE YOUR WAY TO PHYSICAL FITNESS!!!

Five Saturdays Starting January 7, 2017, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Fitness and dance instructor Mike Quebec leads fun and energetic dance classes for five Saturdays at the Fremont Main Library as part of a series called Fitness at Fremont Main. These line dancing and 1950’s style swing dance classes are for all ages, especially mature adults. Line dancing starts at 3:30 and ends at 4:30 p.m. on January 7 and March 4. Boppin’ at the Bookshelves (swing classes) will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. February 25, April 22, and May 27.
The Fremont Main Library, a branch of the Alameda County Library system, is located at 2400 Stevenson Boulevard and is wheelchair accessible. The Library will provide an ASL interpreter, for any event, with at least seven working days’ notice. Please call 510-745-1401 or TTY 888-663-0660.

The Helen Crocker Russell Library of Horticulture at San Francisco Botanical Garden presents Beautiful Relationships: Flora and Fauna from Around the World, an exhibition of nature illustrations by Rachel Diaz-Bastin.

Bastin works in the entomology department at the California Academy of Sciences where she was inspired to learn from illustrators on staff and recently studied scientific illustration at UC Santa Cruz. She is known for her beautifully accurate illustrations of insects. She also illustrates spiders for publication in scientific journals as well as various plants and animals for researchers, conservation organizations, parks, and wildlife centers.
