SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)
A woman was caught in the crossfire of a supermarket parking lot shooting in San Francisco’s Outer Mission District on Wednesday evening, according to a police spokesman.
The shooting was reported at 7:26 p.m. in the 2900 block of Alemany Boulevard.
Pacific Supermarket is located at 2900 Alemany Blvd. Staff there this morning declined to comment on the incident.
The 28-year-old woman was hit in the leg as she was leaving the grocery store with friends, according to San Francisco police Officer Gordon Shyy.
The woman was struck when one man shot at another man, who then returned fire, Shyy said.
She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The suspects, both men, fled the area in two separate cars. One was a silver SUV and the other was a teal two-door hatchback, Shyy said.
Both suspects remained at large as of Thursday morning, Shyy said.
