Walnut Creek police investigates burglary of Tiffany’s store


An investigation is underway after several men burglarized a jewelry store in downtown Walnut Creek Thursday morning, police said.

Officers responded to multiple reports of several men using a truck to force open the front door of the Tiffany & Co. at 1119 S. Main St. at about 5:45 a.m.

After the truck broke open the door, the suspects ran inside and smashed open a display case and took a few things, police said.

Witnesses told police the suspects then fled the area in a white Chevrolet Blazer-type car.

The truck used to open the door was reported stolen and remained at the store after the burglary, police said.
