(Excerpt from press release)

The Confucius Institute at SF State and San Francisco Unified School District announced details of the 9th Chinese Bridge Cup Contests for K-12 Students. The contests will sponsored by Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters and Education Office of the Consulate General of the P.R. China.   The contests will be held at Marina Middle School (3500 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA 94123) from March 2nd through March 22nd, 2013.  The purpose of the contests is to provide more opportunities for our students to demonstrate their linguistic and cultural talents, and showcase their interest and achievements in learning Chinese language and culture with help from their teachers and parents. We hope that the study of Chinese will not just connect American students with the language, but also with the culture, literature, and rich history of China.
