San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency passed a 2-year budget for 2013 and 2014. It includes a pilot program providing free passes for low-income youths between 5 and 17 years of age and that qualify for the School Free Lunch Program.
The pilot program will run from August 2012 to May 2014.
SFMTA also plans to start Sunday parking enforcement January 2013. Enforcement hours are 12 noon to 6p.m.
The SFMTA budget awaits approval by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
