SSF: 3 injured in vehicle crash at grocery store

Police are investigating a vehicle crash that injured three people Monday in South San Francisco.

According to police, a 57-year-old San Francisco woman was driving her 2011 Honda Civic in the parking lot of the Safeway store at 2255 Gellert Blvd.

The woman lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an exterior glass enclosure in front of the store, police said.

The woman and two other passengers suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

They were taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said that although the store was open at the time of the crash, no one inside was injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Police said that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
