Sparks flew in SoCal high speed car chase

High speed chases in southern California aren’t unusual, but this one is a little different.

Sparks flew from under this pickup truck on a freeway Friday night in Riverside.

Police say the chase started about an hour earlier in Newport Beach when they tried to stop the vehicle for a code violation.

Officers say the driver also had an outstanding warrant.

The sparks started flying when the truck lost a tire.

When the driver finally got out of the disable pickup, he seemed a little unsteady before getting on the ground and being dragged away by police.
