Motorists may experience some nighttime delays this week on portions of U.S. Highway 101 and the Capital Expressway in San Jose as crews complete work on a Highway 101 improvement project, according to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority officials.
There will be intermittent lane closures through Saturday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 between the Yerba Buena Road and Tully Road interchanges and to the westbound Capitol Expressway off-ramp.
Closures will also be in effect on the eastbound Capitol Expressway to the northbound Highway 101 on-ramp and in the westbound direction to the southbound Highway 101 on-ramp, according to the VTA.
Message boards will be placed throughout the area to help motorists find alternate routes and detours.
Specific ramp closures and detour information can be found at www.vta.org/projects/101_improvements/capitol_interchange.html.
