An after-school counselor at a middle school in the Willow Glen area of San Jose was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of selling marijuana to children, police said today.

Edward Diaz, 20, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of selling or offering marijuana to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, San Jose police Officer Albert Morales said.

At 4:23 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to Willow Glen Middle School at 2015 Cottle Ave. on a report that an after-school counselor had sold marijuana to a couple of children, Morales said.

Officers were able to confirm that a counselor associated with the after-school program “Think Together” had sold the drug to two students at the middle school, police said.

Police contacted Diaz and arrested him shortly afterwards, according to Morales.
