SF: Elderly woman has purse snatched in Mission District

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)

A 90-year-old woman had her purse snatched outside her home in San Francisco’s Mission District on Friday morning, police said Monday.

The robbery was reported shortly before 8 a.m. Friday in the 2200 block of Mission Street.

The victim had just opened the gate to her residence when a man ran up and grabbed her purse, then fled on foot, according to police. The woman was not injured.

The suspect, believed to be in his late 20s, had not been found as of this morning, police said.
