The search for a burial location for the body of a Boston Marathon bombing suspect who was killed in a gun battle with police is dragging on.
On Monday, Worcester funeral home director Peter Stefan said none of the burial offers he has received for out-of-state graves are panning out. Meanwhile, the mother of Tamerlan Tsarnaev (TAM’-ehr-lun tsahr-NEYE’-ehv) says she wants his body returned to Russia.
Stefan said he doesn’t think Russia will take Tsarnaev’s body.
The wrangling comes as a friend of the surviving suspect in the bombings was released from federal custody Monday, but remained under strict house arrest.
And the administrator of the One Fund Boston, which has already taken in more than $28 million in donations, planned to hold a second public meeting Tuesday to discuss the process to distribute the money to bombing victims.
