The Southbay’s safe and clean water project

Santa Clara County voters overwhilmingly passed Measure B, a $548 millionthe parcel tax, to fund the new clean, safe water and natural flood protection program, and help ensure the quality, safety and supply of its local water resources.

The last parcel tax that was also developed by the Santa Clara Water Distrcit was approved by voters in 2000. The renewed parcel tax rate will increase to $55 in 2013 and  an additional 3 percent each subsequent year until 2028.
