Man stabbed to death in San Jose’s 24th homicide of the year

San Jose, CA – The San Jose Police Department is currently investigating the City’s 24th homicide of 2013. On 6/13/2013, at approximately 12:37 AM, the SJPD 9-1-1 Communications Center received a report of a person stabbed in the 100 block of Checkers Drive in East San Jose.


Upon arrival, officers located a male, believed to be 40 years old, suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was found in front of a residence.  The victim was transported to Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:33 AM.

No suspects have been identified or apprehended and no suspect information is being released at this time. The motive behind the stabbing remains under investigation (it is not known if this incident was gang related).
