SF: Eight wounded in Tenderloin shooting Sunday night

Police in San Francisco have confirmed that eight people were injured in a drive-by shooting in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood Sunday night, a spokeswoman said.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired at Turk and Taylor streets at about 8:55 p.m., San Francisco police Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

Eight victims were reportedly transported to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds, Newman said.

The majority of the wounds were to the victims’ extremities, and so far none of the injuries were considered life threatening, she said.

No arrests were made no suspect information was immediately available.
