The price of sending mail may be going up — again.
The US postal service board will look into hiking postage prices on all types of mail.
It would affect first-class mail as well as businesses that mail periodicals, newspapers, magazines and marketing material.
This proposal comes after the postal service shelved a plan to end saturday service because they didn’t have legal authority to do so.
The postal service has been struggling financially because of a 2006 congressional mandate that requires healthcare benefits for future retirees be pre-funded.
