Daly City shooting

Police officers have surrounded a San Francisco Bay Area medical building after a shooting inside.

Seton Medical Center spokeswoman Mary Coady says police responded to the shooting just before 3:30 p.m. at the building, located at 1500 Southgate Avenue in Daly City, Calif.

She says the building, which houses about 40 medical practitioners, was evacuated but that the main hospital remains open.

Coady says she couldn’t say whether anyone was injured in the shooting.

According to multiple news outlets, a doctor reported seeing a gunman and hearing gunshots but that as of 4 p.m., no victim or suspect had been found.

Messages left for the Daly City Police were not immediately returned.
