Police seeking suspect caught on camera breaking into garage

Police are looking for information regarding a burglary at a home early Sunday morning in Danville.

The burglary was reported at about 4:20 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 300 block of Harper Lane near Calmar Vista Road, police said.

Based on the police investigation, an unidentified male parked in the victim’s driveway, broke into the home’s garage and left with a valuable Pinarello Dogma bicycle.

The suspect is described as an adult male, between 30 and 40 years old. He was wearing a black jacket, jeans, black skate shoes with white laces and a headlamp at the time of the burglary.

The victim provided police with video surveillance footage of the suspect breaking in, as well as a photo of the stolen bicycle. The video can be viewed through the Town of Danville’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTzORYkVs-Q.
