Police are investigating what led up to a male being fatally shot in East San Jose this morning, a sergeant said.
Officers responded to reports that a person had been shot in the area of Lanai Avenue and Danali Way at about 5:25 a.m., Sgt. Heather Randol said.
When officers arrived, they found a male suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Randol said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released and no arrests were made, according to Randol.
Further details were not immediately available. The homicide is the city’s 11th of the year.
