Harry Liu is a general assignment reporter for KTSF news. From breaking news to community issues to feature stories, Liu brings experience, enthusiasm and dedication to a versatile news team. Liu's specialty is political issues where he has extensive experience covering local, state and national leaders. Most recently, Liu sat down with four Chinese American political leaders and spoke about Chinese American political involvement.

Liu came to KTSF in 2006 from KSCI LA18 News in Los Angeles where he worked as a reporter and feature story producer. Since starting with LA18 in 2003, Liu covered a number of major stories, including the Los Angeles jail riot in February 2006, and the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Tony Blair’s, first visit to Los Angeles in August 2006. Liu also conducted some in-depth stories including Chinese immigrant history in Los Angeles.

Liu began his career as a radio news anchor and editor and in 1998 made the transition to television as a producer at Tzu Chi TV in Taiwan. After moving to the U.S., in 2001, he joined Phoenix Satellite TV in Los Angeles as a reporter and editor. He was part of the original crew that launched the Phoenix America News.

A native of Taiwan, Liu earned a bachelor's degree in graphic communications from Shih Hsin University in Taiwan and attended the graduate program of speech communications at California State University, Fullerton.
