Police are asking for the public’s help as they try to locate a missing 50-year-old California woman who worked as a federal investigator.
Relatives say Sandra Coke of Oakland was a capital case investigator for the Office of the Federal Public Defender in the Eastern District of California. The office provides legal representation to indigent defendants in federal cases.
Coke was last seen Sunday night. Police say her 2007 Mini Cooper convertible was discovered the next day a few blocks from her home.
According to her sister, Tanya, Coke had told her daughter she was going to meet somebody she thought had information about her missing dog. The dog apparently was abducted during a May break-in at Coke’s home.
Coke was reported to be in good physical and mental condition.
