Michelle Xin Yue joined KTSF in 2002. Currently, she works as a producer, reporter and news writer for KTSF’s Mandarin news. She is also the main reporter for KTSF’s weekend Mandarin news.
Michelle holds a Master of Journalism degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Beijing Normal University.
Prior to coming to the United States, she had worked as an editor for China’s Xinhua News Agency in Beijing. Her writing has been published in The Los Angeles Times, Japan’s Yomiuri News, Japan Quarterly, China Daily, Beijing Scene, etc.
In 2009, her series of profiles on Chinese immigrants “Bay Area People” won the Best TV reporting award from the Northern California Chinese Media Association (NCCMA). In 2008, she was a co-winner of the association’s best TV news producing award.
Michelle loves being a journalist. Her professional mission is to let the public know what is going on in the fastest and most accurate manner. Her interests include history, arts, international politics, business and economics. Her favorite books are history and biographies. She is married and lives in the East Bay.
