Police are investigating a shooting that occurred during a heated family argument at a south Vacaville home on Wednesday morning, a police sergeant said.
A 21-year-old man was shot once in the head around 11:30 a.m. during a struggle over a handgun at a home in the 100 block of Kingsland Court, Sgt. Jeff King said.
“Two male subjects began struggling over a handgun and the weapon discharged,” King said.
The victim was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery. His condition was considered very serious, King said.
A 67-year-old man who also lives at the home suffered shortness of breath and was taken to a hospital. King did not say if that man was involved in the struggle for the handgun.
