Man makes sexual remarks to teen walking to school

SAN MATEO (BCN)

Police are looking for a man who made a sexual comment to a 16-year-old girl on her way to school in San Mateo Wednesday morning.

The 16-year-old San Mateo resident was approached by a man in a white Honda CRV, or similar car, on 31st Avenue between Isabelle Avenue and Alameda De Las Pulgas around 8 a.m., according to police.

The man made sexual remarks to the girl as she walked past. She walked away from him and alerted authorities about the incident.

San Mateo police responded to the area and did not find him. Patrol searched the area for the rest of Wednesday and again on Thursday.

Police are working with officials from the San Mateo Union High School District to track down the suspect.

He is described as a Filipino man in his 30s with dark spiky hair. He is clean-shaven. Police have released a sketch of the man.
