The London Olympic Organizing Committee is now working hard on backup plans to deal with situations when those outdoor events are forced to be postponed due to weather conditions.
Speaking about the weather, Sebastian Coe, Chairman of the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), also feels helpless.
“I don’t have a hotline to the Almighty. On occasions over the last few months I really wished I had. But clearly he has been listening to me thus far. So I really have no control of that and I suppose the honest answer to that is we are a northern European nation,” said Sebastian Coe.
However, according to the UK meteorological department, most of regions in England will bid farewell to rainy weather from this weekend onward. And London Olympics is expected to embrace some sunshine by then.
