Memory loss workshop in S.F.

The Chinese Community Health Resource Center held a medical workshop  in San Francisco on memory loss.  Registered  dieticain Yvonne Liang said memory loss is a problem that affects  most people to a degree regardless of age.  Some common things that can cause memory loss  include  medications, alcohol, tobacco,  drug use, sleep deprivation, depression and stress, nutritional deficiency  and  head injury .

Linag said short term memory loss can be treated througt diet.  One example is increasing one’s intake of vitamin B12, which can  be  found in eggs, milk  and meat products. Exercise  and using memory brain games can also help improve memory .
