A big rig fire is blocking four lanes of traffic on westbound state Highway 24 in Lafayette this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The big rig fire was reported at about 4:50 a.m., just east of central Lafayette.

Four lanes of westbound state Highway 24 remain blocked this morning, according to the CHP.

The fire was brought under control and no injuries were reported, according to the CHP.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and to expect delays.
