Kwokshu Leung has been a journalist since 1989. He has held reporting, management and producing positions in various news organizations. He started as a newspaper reporter with the Hong Kong Standard in Hong Kong. He joined the World Journal in Toronto as a reporter. When Ming Pao launched its first North American edition in Toronto, as Assistant News Editor, he was part of the core launch team.
Mr. Leung was later promoted to News Editor with Ming Pao. To broaden his career perspective, he later joined Fairchild TV as senior reporter. Subsequently he was promoted to the post of Assistant News Director. During his career he has covered major breaking and political news, including a plane crash, subway fire, the Hong Kong Handover in 1997, the flood of the century in Winnipeg, the great black out in eastern North America. He has hosted talk shows, commentary programs and in-depth feature and magazine programs.
Before joining KTSF Kwokshu Leung mainly specialized in coordinating and producing news feature programs, the contents of which include human-interest immigrant stories, history of Chinese in Canada, in-depth analysis of economic power of Chinese consumers, movie reviews in social and political perspectives, geopolitical analysis of the war on terror in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is a graduate of Hong Kong Shue Yan College.
