The publisher of Hillary Clinton’s new memoir, “hard choices,” tells buzzfeed the book will not be sold in China.
Simon and Schuster president Jonathan Karp told the website Chinese publishers declined to buy translation rights for the book and will also not sell it in english.
He says that amounts to an “effective ban” on the book.
In the memoir, clinton criticizes china’s censorship practices and describes the country as the “epicenter of the antidemocratic movement in Asia.”
The book was released earlier this month.
