Great Family: Gastrointestinal Disease Awareness and Prevention

Do you know…

What are the symptoms of colon cancer?
What causes gastric cancer, and how to prevent from having it?
What should you look for when choosing a medical insurance policy?

In this new episode of Great Family, we’re so happy to have a Gastrointestinal Doctor, Dr. Andy Yu and a health care insurance expert Robert Ju to be on the show to talk about related issues of Gastrointestinal Disease. In addition to providing a lot of medical facts about this disease, Robert will also share some tips on how to choose the right health care insurance.

Here are some tips provided by our two guests:

Dr. Yu: “If you’re over age of 50, make sure you have your colonoscopy done as soon as possible. If you have any family members that have colon cancer history, you should have your first colonoscopy when you reach the age of 40.”

Robert: “Don’t just look at the amount of premium when you choosing health care insurance. Instead, make sure your primary doctor and your hospital are accepting your insurance first. This could save you a lot of time and hassle. If you have any questions, you’re welcome to call 1-800-903-0883 to talk to my staffs.”

“Great Family” series airs the last Sunday of each month at 10:30pm on KTSF.
