Fremont: surveillance images released of suspect in Wells Fargo robbery

Fremont police are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred this afternoon at a Wells Fargo bank.

The robbery occurred shortly before 12:20 p.m. at the 39265 Paseo Padre Parkway Wells Fargo branch, when a suspect walked in and handed an employee a note demanding money, according to police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.

The employee gave the suspect money and he fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, Bosques said.

Police searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

He is described as a black male adult in his late 20s to early 30s, between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet 1 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black knit beanie with a white bandana underneath, black sunglasses with green neon on the sides, a brown jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt and a visible orange “A” on the chest and jeans, and was carrying a black backpack.

Video surveillance images of the suspect have been released.
