A 38-year-old woman who was reported as “at risk” and missing on Monday has been located, Fremont police said.
The family of the woman, Manon Huang, reported her missing Monday after she left to go on a walk at 11 a.m. in Central Park.
They told police at about 7:10 p.m. that they last spoke to her on the phone at 3 p.m., and officers called Huang’s cellphone.
Huang picked up the phone and told police that she was lost.
Police said they checked the location of her phone and tracked it to Central Park, but she was not there when they arrived.
Police then sent out a Nixle message reporting her as missing.
At about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, the person who reported Huang as missing called police and said she had been safely located in Berkeley.
They said no further assistance was needed, according to police.
