Falling satellite expected to hit earth within days

Scientists say a more-than one-ton satellite will come crashing into earth’s atmosphere in the next few days…

The European space agency launched the Goce satellite in 2009 to chart the earth’s gravitational field.

At 17 feet long and weighing 24-hundred pounds, experts are keeping a close eye on go-chay to see where it’ll come down.

According to the New York times, the satellite is expected to break up in the heat of re-entry… but leftover fragments — some predicted to weigh as much as 200-pounds — could pose a serious danger.

The European space agency says the satellite should re-enter the atmosphere sunday, possibly early Monday.
