加州兒童護理課程

位於三藩市的華埠公共衛生局 ( 前第四衛生局 ),將於2018年1月份舉辦 “加州兒童護理班” 課程。這課程符合加州政府托兒牌照局規格,專為在家中作托兒工作者而設。加州政府規定所有家庭托兒工作者必須接受最少十六小時的兒童護理訓練。

在過去多年中,華埠公共衛生局一直為三藩市及灣區的家庭托兒工作者提供中文教授的 ” 加州兒童護理” 課程。用國 / 粵語教授的課程,將於1月20日及2月3日 (星期六),上午8時至下午5時,在華埠公共衛生局舉行。課程需預先報名,收費為一百八十元,考試合格者,將獲得美國紅十字會証書或美國心臟協會証書。

“加州兒童護理” 課程內容包括兒童、嬰兒心肺復甦法;兒童急救技巧;預防性健康與安全;傳染病的預防;患病兒童的照料;預防兒童損傷等等。

Swingin’ Saturday Dance Party At The Library

Burn calories with fitness and dance instructor Mike Quebec in an afternoon of jitterbugging and swing dancing to non-stop jump blues, rockabilly and doo-wop! Part of the Fitness at Fremont Main initiative for individuals aged 15 and older, the program begins with a half-hour beginner’s jitterbug lesson at 1 p.m. followed by a record hop dance party.

The Fremont Main Library, a branch of the Alameda County Library system, is located at 2400 Stevenson Boulevard and is wheelchair accessible. Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code (GWC) is a non-profit organization that encourages more girls to close the gender gap in the computer science field. Girls will learn to code along with other beginners in an open and accepting environment. In GWC, you will learn how to code animations, games and websites.

Is the United States a ‘Nation of Immigrants?’

Join us for a talk with the prolific author and emeritus professor Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz who will discuss the complicated and complex history of the idea of the United States as a “nation of immigrants” she will discuss key components of that notion from the colonial period to the Hamilton musical. She will question the purpose of this mythology and describe what harm it may do to documented and undocumented immigrants today.

$10 General Admission – Free for California Historical Society Members.
