「僑見心動時刻」2015金僑獎徵件

中華民國僑務委員會為促進全球華人互動與交流,舉辦2015年「金僑獎」活動,提供華僑青年發表影像作品的平臺。而今年的金僑獎則以「僑見心動時刻」作爲主題,希望藉由照片和短片來傳達最深刻的僑情印象,串連全球僑胞的心動時刻。
2015金僑獎將於5月1日起開放徵件,凡是海內外華人在世界各地求學、工作、僑居或回臺求學、工作、探訪親友、尋根的故事,無論人、事、地、物、景,只要主題與僑胞相關,拍成照片或短片即可參加比賽,獎項多達14個,總獎金獎品逾新臺幣30萬元,歡迎踴躍參與!詳情請瀏覽網址 www.ocac.gov.tw,或電郵alanchen@ocac.gov.tw

Boy Scouts Troop 888 is teaming up with Be The Match to help save lives!
Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer and 14,000 of those patients will need a marrow or stem cell transplant.
If you are between ages 18-44 consider registering to be a life-saving donor. All it takes is a little paperwork and a couple swabs of the cheek.

Berkeley Public Library proudly presents filmmaker Shirley Kazuyo Muramoto-Wong in a special screening of her film, Hidden Legacy: Japanese Traditional Performing Arts in the World War II Internment Camps on Tuesday, June 9 at 5:30 pm at the Central Library, 2090 Kittredge (at Shattuck) on the 3rd floor, Community Meeting Room. Ms. Muramoto-Wong will begin the program by performing koto music, and answer questions after the film screening.

24th Annual Bike 4 Breath

The 24th annual Bike 4 Breath is more than just a cycling event – It’s a day full of fun where riders of all levels come together to support clean air and healthy lungs! Cyclists raise funds for asthma education, tobacco control, clean air advocacy and lung disease research in support of the work of Breathe California.

This year, Bike 4 Breath will start and end at Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton. Three route options include a family friendly 10 mile route, a 30 mile intermediate route, and a challenging 64 mile route for the cycling enthusiast.

Registration fees start at $60 (discounts for riders under 18).

The San Francisco Marathon is back for its 38th year

The 38th running of The San Francisco Marathon brings a full marathon, half marathon, 5K and 52.4-mile ultra marathon to the streets and bridges of San Francisco. Known for its scenic views, this USATF certified course is a Boston marathon qualifying race. The full marathon and first half marathon start at the Ferry Building, run along the Embarcadero, and cross along the roadbed of the Golden Gate Bridge.
