Use your brilliance and creativity to produce a video, and become the part of the California drought solution! San Francisco Bay residents who are 14 to 18 years old are eligible to apply. The theme of the video is “water”, and this 2-minute video should be able to deliver the message of the importance of water conservation.
The 1st place will receive a prize and will have the opportunity to be interviewed on KTSF’s “Talk Tonight”. The 2nd place will receive $200, and the 3rd place will receive $100. In addition, the top three applicants will receive a ticket from Monterey Bay Aquarium. The deadline for video submission is July 10, 2015, and date of the final awards ceremony is August 16, 2015. The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, in partnership with America SCORES Bay Area, is hosting three free public viewings of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup at Civic Center Plaza. The viewings begin with a game between Team USA and Sweden on June 12th at 5PM, the second screening plays a Semifinal game on the June 30th at 4PM, and the World Cup Final on July 5th at 4PM. The 24th annual Bike 4 Breath is more than just a cycling event – It’s a day full of fun where riders of all levels come together to support clean air and healthy lungs! Cyclists raise funds for asthma education, tobacco control, clean air advocacy and lung disease research in support of the work of Breathe California.
This year, Bike 4 Breath will start and end at Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton. Three route options include a family friendly 10 mile route, a 30 mile intermediate route, and a challenging 64 mile route for the cycling enthusiast.
Registration fees start at $60 (discounts for riders under 18).

The 38th running of The San Francisco Marathon brings a full marathon, half marathon, 5K and 52.4-mile ultra marathon to the streets and bridges of San Francisco. Known for its scenic views, this USATF certified course is a Boston marathon qualifying race. The full marathon and first half marathon start at the Ferry Building, run along the Embarcadero, and cross along the roadbed of the Golden Gate Bridge.
