The Oakland Symphony, the Craneway Pavilion, located inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond, and the City of Richmond will again join forces to host a family-friendly Independence Eve Celebration led by the Oakland Symphony and Music Director Michael Morgan on Sunday, July 3. The evening will also include pre-performance entertainment, food and fireworks. Craneway Pavilion, located on 25 waterfront acres, delivers spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline, with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire event space as well as a 20,000 square foot patio, perfect for viewing the City of Richmond’s firework display.

The exciting, new Menlo Summerfest debuts with a vibrant, lively and fabulous lineup: Tropical Vibrations, the festival’s big name music mash with stellar live music on the Soundwaves Stage in Fremont Park, the Aloha Stage at El Camino Real and throughout downtown; the Summerfest Cool Down Concert featuring Petty Theft, the sensational Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers tribute band revered up and down the west coast (Saturday, July 16 from 5-7pm in Fremont Park); Artsplash with extraordinary fine art and cool crafts by 200 professional artists, the Summer Vibes Art Contest and “Express Your Summerself Color Spot”; Mobile Eats with food trucks and booths; Deelish Drink with artisan cocktails, craft beer and premium wine; Savory City with world’s finest artisan-produced specialty foods; Super Duper Funzone with a host of awesome amusements for kids; and Fleet Feet’s Hot Fun Run! The non-profit Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce presents Menlo Summerfest, “Hot Fun In the Summertime”, on July 16-17 as a benefit for non-profit community service groups.

This event is a mainstay on the Bay Area’s popular summer festival circuit and is a fund-raiser for the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce and several community service organizations.

WHEN: July 16-17, 2016.  Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. The Summerfest Cool Down Concert with Petty Theft runs after-hours on Saturday, July 16 from 5-7 p.m. in Fremont Park.
