Storytelling Workshop for Children

The Asian Art Museum will be hosting a storytelling workshop every first and third Sunday of each month. The event is particularly designed for children ranged from ages 3 to 6, which assists promoting visual and verbal literacy for families with children. The museum tour also uses plays and stories to access the museum collection and introduce Asian culture to early learners.

Iranian Nowruz Festival

In honor of “Art IS Education” month, the Alameda County Library is presenting a special series of over 50 free arts events for youth and families. Come join the event to celebrate Nowruz (the New Year in Afghanistan, Iran, and Tajikstan) with Persian traditional music and dance performance. This event is to celebrate Nowruz, the Iranian New Year in 2015!  Attendees can enjoy light refreshments, music by Ebrahimi brothers, dance by Beshkan Dance Academy, as well as the performance by the students of Mr.Bahman Azadi’s music class.  It’s going to be a day full of fun!
