The 2014 San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival is now celebrating its 47th year, this has become one of the California’s most prominent celebrations of Asian culture and traditions.  Each year, over 200,000 people attend this amazing community event showcasing the color and grace of the Japanese culture and the diversity of the Japanese American Community.  In this event, people can enjoy variety of cultural performances, martial arts, live entertainment, and many food booths as well. Plus, the annual Queen program is also one of the must-see program of this event.  The Grand Parade will be held on Sunday, 4/20.

Yard Sale in the Park

Springtime is house-cleaning time. Right? Well, with a little incentive. History San José will host a Spring Yard Sale in the Park. It has been said that one person’s junk is another one’s treasure. So start cleaning.

As always, food will be available for purchase, and O’Briens Café in the Pacific Hotel will feature San Jose own’s Treat ice cream. Live music by Fiddle Road and other food vendors will be a part of the Yard Sale event.

Registration must be received by April 1 — no fooling; booths for non-members are $20 each; booths for members and affiliates of HSJ are free. Wah Mei School Celebrates Week of the Young Child
