Free Tax Preparation At The Fremont Main Library

Free tax preparation will be provided through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in partnership with the Earn it! Keep it! Save it! Coalition of the United Way Bay Area. Trained volunteers will prepare and file taxes for households earning less than $54,000 in 2017. Service is walk-in only. Taxpayers should bring: photo ID; Social Security card or ITIN for taxpayer, spouse and all dependents; W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, 1095s and any other tax documents received; voided check for direct deposit; copy of last year’s tax return, if available.
The Fremont Main Library, a branch of the Alameda County Library system, is located at 2400 Stevenson Boulevard and is wheelchair accessible. “Give Kids a Smile” Children’s Dental Health Fair

Children will receive a free dental exam and cleaning, orthodontic evaluations, sealants, fluoride treatment and enjoy games, prizes, face painting and a petting zoo. Chinese New Year Concert

Celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dog with the San Francisco Symphony at this family event that draws on both ancient and contemporary traditions. Arrive at 2pm for the activity-filled Festival Reception with Chinese instruments, lion dancing, “lucky” red envelopes, entertainment, tea bars, sweet and savory bites, and more.

Time: Festival Reception begins at 2pm, Concert begins at 3pm, Imperial Dinner 5pm.

Festival Reception will include a host of activities Chinese instruments, lion dancing, calligraphy, tea bars, complementary bites, and more!

Concert will be a mix of Western and Chinese favorites conducted by Xian Zhang (the first woman to be named music director of an Italian symphony orchestra)

Highlight will include music from Tan Dun, composer of the Academy Award-winning film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Acclaimed pianist Zhang Zuo will perform Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.

Chinese New Year Concert – dedicated to The Honorable Edwin Mah Lee, 43rd Mayor of the city and County of San Francisco.

Continue the festivities after the concert by purchasing a ticket to the Imperial Dinner, where guests enjoy a multi-course seated dinner, dazzling entertainment, and some surprises as well!
