Mindfulness Practices for Children via Play

1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Stress and anxiety are common struggles in modern day life that effect not only adults but also children.  Dharma Drum Mountain has designed a program to entertain children aged between 6 and 11 years old while introducing them to relaxation and the concepts of mindfulness through art, literature, and a wide variety of fun games. It can help decrease stress, anger and anxiety while increasing self-esteem and self-awareness. Dharma Drum Mountain is a Chan Buddhism non-profit organization located in Fremont focused on teaching Buddhist compassion and wisdom with the goal to achieve harmony and equanimity of the body and mind. The Youth program is held bi-weekly at the Dharma Drum Mountain Center as well as Nile Community Park right across the street.
