Celebrate National Library Week — April 12-18, 2015

The Berkeley Public Library joins libraries nationwide in celebrating National Library Week (April 12 through 18, 2015), to highlight the changing role of libraries, librarians and library workers. “The theme for National Library Week is ‘Unlimited Possibilities @ your library’,” said Jeff Scott, Director of the Berkeley Public Library. “We serve Berkeley by providing wireless, computer access, technology classes, story times, adult literacy classes, concerts, author talks, books, magazines, videos, music and more—all free!”

Chinatown Public Health Center will be held a child care course in April this year. This course consistent with the California Child Care Licensing Authority government specifications, designed for home child care workers. State of California requires all family child care workers must receive a minimum of fifteen hours of child care training.

The course will in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Held in Chinatown Public Health Center on April 4 and April 18 (Saturday) 8am to 5pm. Courses need to per-register , the registration fee is $ 170. The candidates will receive the American Red Cross certificate.

Topics will include preventive health and safety of children ; prevention of infectious diseases ; care for sick children ; prevention of childhood injuries ; first aid skills and children’s children , infant CPR and more.
