The Walt Disney Family Museum will present the Water to 「Paper, Paint to Sky: The Art of Tyrus Wong」Art Exhibition from 8/15 -2/3/2014. This exhibition will focus on the life of a famous Chinese American artist, Tyrus Wong, who is a gifted painter, muralist, kite maker, lithographer, Hollywood sketch artist, calligrapher, ceramicist, and Disney Legend.

ASC Projects San Francisco
ASC Projects is pleased to present Live/Work: An Alternative Showcase, a group exhibition about living with art and artists making a living, with works and wares by Mark Baugh-Sasaki, Craig Calderwood, Kristen van Diggelen, and Smith|Allen. In the style of an interior showcase, Live/Work features artists whose consumer wares directly reflect the creative vision, craftsmanship, and conceptual rigor of their contemporary artworks, highlighting both their commercial craft, as well as their content-driven gallery works. The exhibition opens Saturday, December 7, with an artist reception at 7pm and continues through January 18.

Chinese Newcomers Service Center San Francisco
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is expanding to serve more low-income families. Chinese Newcomers Services Center (CNSC) will help clients file their 2013 tax returns, and claim for Earned Income Tax Credit and Working Families Credit. The services begins Jan. 25 to April 5, every Saturday form 9am to 3:30pm. This year CNSC have 60 volunteers devoting their time to assist these families and individuals, and they are all certified by IRS. Clients can register in advance to get free tax assistance from the tax experts.

“Give Kids a Smile” Dental Health Fair San Francisco
University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco will offer free oral health services to children as part of a “Give Kids a Smile” health event on Saturday, February 1 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Children will receive dental exams and cleanings, orthodontic evaluations, fluoride treatment and an opportunity to have oral health questions answered. The event also features educational games, prizes, entertainment and the Little Explorers Petting Zoo.
