Fremont residents, 65 years of age or older on June 30, who own and live in a single-family home may apply for Fremont Unified School District’s senior exemption waiver to the Measure K parcel tax.
The exemption waiver application is available to the public at Fremont Main Library at 2400 Stevenson Blvd., Fremont Senior Center at 40086 Paseo Padre Parkway and is posted on Fremont Unified School District’s website at fremont.k12.ca.us/seniorwaiver. Chinese and Spanish translations of the waiver are also available. The application can be filled out online, printed and then submitted with the required supporting documentation.

History Museum of Los Gatos Los Gatos
The History Museum of Los Gatos presents Evolution of Green: Environmental Activism exhibition to the Bay Area residents. The exhibition is currently open until 9/22, every Wednesday to Sunday. The exhibition will use interactive models, historical narrative, environmental sounds capes and other media to interpret this history and explore proposed future steps for environmental activism.

As part of a 2-year UCSF research study called Kidney Awareness Registry and Education (KARE), there is a new, variable-time job position for a bilingual English/Cantonese-speaking research assistant (RA).
This RA will conduct interviews over the phone to patients enrolled in the study:
The RA will call up to 200 study patients with chronic kidney disease 4 different times: 1 month, 4 months, 8 months and 12 months after enrollment. Each phone interview will take up to 30 minutes. The incumbent will enter data as the phone interview takes place.
Hourly Rate : $25

NDNU Theatre Belmont
NewGround Theatre Dance Co. is hosting its inaugural Emerging Dance Artist Awards Concert. We are seeking choreographers and dance groups to participate and enjoy this cost-free opportunity to show their work. All forms of dance are eligible to apply. Pieces submitted for consideration must be no longer than 6 minutes.
All selected pieces will perform on Friday, August 2nd. A panel of judges will select the top 5 pieces to perform on Saturday, August 3rd with two cash prizes of $500 each awarded that night. Some pieces may also be invited to perform the following weekend, along with NewGround Theatre Dance Co. Performances will be held at the NDNU theatre at 1500 Ralston Avenue, Belmont, CA. Tech rehearsals will be scheduled between July 28th and August 1st.
