Delta Fremont will be LEED Platinum certified

Delta Products Corporation held the groundbreaking ceremony today for its new Americas headquarters. The buildings on the Delta campus are designed to meet LEED platinum certification and have the goal to become net zero energy buildings, a first for the city of Fremont. Delta, a leading provider of energy efficient and renewable energy solutions and products will use its own solar panels, inverters, wind turbines, LED lighting, electric vehicle chargers, displays, motor drives and other products in the construction of the buildings. Other notable green features include: a water retention pond, native low water consumption plants, a ground source heat pump and a three story atrium light well providing additional natural light to the interior of the space and acting as a thermal stack ventilation tower.
