Job cuts are on the way at beverage giant Coca-Cola.
A little more than one-percent of Coca-Cola’s workforce in the United States will be lost in the cut backs.
The company will eliminate 750 jobs.
About 25-percent of those will be from the Atlanta area, where Coke is headquartered.
The cuts take back gains from last year, when Coca-Cola’s U-S workforce rose by 900 employees.
The cuts are also far less severe than those at Coke’s rival, Pepsico, which announced last year that it would cut nearly nine-thousand jobs worldwide by 2014.
Less than two-thousand of those, though, would be cut from the U-S workforce.
