(KTSF by Trista Wang) Cirque du Soleil is in town with their latest touring production, Totem. Inspired by many founding myths, TOTEM illustrates, through a visual and acrobatic language, the evolutionary progress of species. Somewhere between science and legend, TOTEM explores the ties that bind Man to other species, his dreams and his infinite potential.

Performer Cao-Qing Wang who used to be a gymnast is playing the role “Frog”. He said, sometimes he has to do ten shows  a week and it’s quite exhausting but compared to gymnastic training he used to do, performing for Totem is not a challenge.  And he is happy to performing everyday.

The spokesperson for Cirque du Soleil Frederique Gagnier said this show is good for the whole family and everyone will have a good time.

“Totem” opens  this Friday in Grand Chapiteau near AT&T Park.
