Chemical weapons watchdog gets peace prize


A group currently part of the effort to dismantle Syria’s chemical weapons is being honored with the Nobel Peace Prize today. The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons was formed in 1997 to enforce the Chemical Weapons Convention. It has largely worked out of the limelight until this year’s effort in Syria.
