Car hits building, narrowly missing two pedestrians

Greater Manchester Police on Tuesday released CCTV footage of the moment a car crashed into a college building, almost hitting two passers-by.

The car, a grey Mini Cooper S, crossed a central reservation, hit the railings and then smashed into the front of the Hopwood Hall College in Rochdale, Manchester, on Saturday.

The driver, a 21-year-old man, was taken to Salford Royal Infirmary suffering from head injuries.

His condition remains stable, police said.

Greater Manchester Police are now looking to speak to the two pedestrians who escaped being hit by the car as well as any other witnesses who might have seen the crash happening.
